The National Olympic Committee (NOC) on Monday continue their drive to boosts institutions, Communities and football clubs around the country and Freetown Teachers College this time became beneficiaries.
The donation was done at the NOC headquarter at Howe Street. Before making the donation, the NOC President Henry Moore said he decided to give sporting equipments to the Freetown Teachers College because he knows very well that they are going to make good use of them.
He also assured them of NOC support at all times as their own role is to make sure that they equip institutions, Communties and football clubs with Sporting equipments as their own way of assisting them.
The President of the Student Union of Freetown Teachers College Christian Manson, on receiving the equipments said he was happy for the assistance as his government want to make sports a priority. He said the equipments will be used for the intended purposes.
The sporting equipments donated to Freetown Teachers Colleges (FTC) are 6 Footballs, 6 Volleyballs, 2 Volleyballs net, Basketballs, 2 Basketballs nets, 6 Handballs,6 Tennis Balls, 2 Rackets,1 Tennis net,1 Hand Pump,1 Table Tennis Table,1 Table Tennis net, 2 Packets Balls and 2 whistles.
