There was no training for Mighty Blackpool Football Club on Monday, February 27th 2012 at their KT Field at Kingtom and reliable information from the Blackpool camp is indicating disgruntlement of most of the team’s supporters and are demanding that the Head Coach, Prince Toe and Team Manager, James Fofanah aka JJ be sacked.
Sources have indicated that the call for the duo to go came following a meeting of supporters of the club to see how they could address the poor performance of team in recent times.
The fans’ outburst came just after the team suffered another 1-0 by Bo Rangers in the ongoing Premier League last Friday, February 24th at the National Stadium in Freetown.
The defeat has left the club just a place above the relegation zone with two points from five matches, a position which is unpleasing to the fans.
“The team is not playing any good football and we keep losing games. These two individuals are responsible for the club’s poor performance. The two must leave the club if not we will never win any match in the league,” Ibrahim Sesay one of the fans who resides at Kingtom grumbled.
Another fan, James Conteh, lamented: “This is not the Mighty Blackpool we use to know. Since the JJ administration took over, the team’s performance has dropped drastically that is why we need to change them at all cost this time around.”
The supporters have also stated that the assistant coaches should take charge of the team in the meantime, with control over all matches and their attendant logistical arrangements.
Another Fan in the opposite side Mohamed Turay said that those supporters that are calling for Coach Prince Toe and JJ to leave the club are doing nothing towards the club. “They are just talking, they have noting to offer,” Turay stated.
