Newcastle United Manager, Alan Pardew, may struggle to hold on to midfielder, Joey Barton, but clubs are now tracking Sierra Leone international striker, Ibrahim Tetteh Bangura.
The 21-year-old AIK Solna striker is dubbed ‘the new Didier Drogba’ and he is already making the headlines in Sweden after playing eight league games at which he scored four goals.
According to the Daily Mail, the AIK Solna striker is attracting Premier League interest and Newcastle are one of the favorites for the Sierra Leone striker, as the Toon boss, Alan Pardew, is looking to invest in good young players as he tries to spend his proposed £35million transfer kitty wisely.
Bangura began his career in Freetown for FC Kallon where he was the leading goal scorer in the Sierra Leone Premier League and Sierra Leone FA Cup for the 2006-07 seasons, that saw him participate in European trials with AC Milan and Swedish club, BK Hacken, but he was not offered a contract by either team.
He later joined the Cleveland City Stars of the USL first division in 2009, and was then sent on loan to Cascade Surge of the USL Premier Development League where scored a hat-trick on his debut for Cascade on May 22, 2009 in a game against Spokane Spider.
