Freetown, SIERRA LEONE – The newly elected Sierra Leone Cycling Association executive, led by Mohammed Sidi Kamara, met with the Minister of Sports, Madam Augusta James-Teima, to discuss the challenges faced by the Association over the past five years.
President Sidi expressed his delight at the visit and pledged the Association’s full support to the Minister, emphasizing their commitment to working together during her tenure.
Abdul Karim Kamara, CEO of the Tour de Lunsar Cycling Tournament and a member of the Association, highlighted the annual Tour De Lunsar Cycling Tournament, which attracts cyclists from various countries. He also mentioned the international success of cyclist Fatmata Deborah Conteh.
In response, Madam Minister thanked the Association’s President and Executive for their visit and encouraged unity within the Association. She expressed her commitment to working with them to develop the Association further. The Minister also emphasized the importance of updating the Ministry on national and international activities for transparency and record-keeping. BT/1/10/2023
