Pa Santigie Foday Koroma has been installed as regent chief of Lokomasama following the death of PC Alhaji Boe Sama Lama Sai III a couple of months ago.
The ceremony, which took place at the chiefdom’s local court barray, was chaired by the Port Loko Constituency 53 MP Hassan Sheriff.
Hon Sheriff expressed optimism that the new regent chief would endeavour to foster peace and unity in the Lokomasama chiefdom.
Hon Kamboth Kamara expressed dismay over those who continue to serve as troublemakers, adding that leadership was divine and should be accepted by the people whilst Hon Binneh Bangura viewed the occasion as a demonstration of gratefulness for true and dedicated supporters.
The provincial secretary North, Mani Koroma who delivered the keynote address, said the appointment of a regent chief was the sole prerogative of government and called on the chief to play the role of a twin mother in dispensing justice.
Pa Santigie expressed profound thanks and appreciation for the confidence bestowed on him and promised to live up to the task.
