The National Social Security and Insurance Trust (NASSIT)’s identity card is on its conclusion phase, according to SBTS chief executive officer (CEO) Evelyn Lewis.
The CEO of this Microsoft certified group, which provides Information Technology (IT) solution in Africa, Asia and America said the state-of-the-art counter-counterfeit NASSIT identity card would be completed in due course, noting that they “are currently working on the billing system…”
The CEO explained that the identity cards were designed in such a way that even those without limbs could use it effectively, as they had employed an optical technology known as ‘biotech’ which would verify amputees identification through their eyes.
STBS, which won the NASSIT tender bid and awarded the contract in 2006, has worked for reputable institutions including Celtel, the World Bank, Trade Ministry, and State House.
He explained that the group currently employed over 30 Sierra Leoneans, and “70 students are in for Information Communication Technology (ICT) training,” she said.
