With the heavy downpour of rains and strong winds in Kailahun District, the Child friendly center in Kailahun which was established by the National Commission for War Affected Children (NaCWAC) has had its roof blown off.
Sources close to the District Information Office in Kailahun authoritatively reveal that part of the zinc roofing, ceiling, electrical cables and all the recreational facilities, which cost millions of Leones, are now in shambles.
In an interview with the programme supervisor, at the center, Ansumana Gbow, he maintained that he has made several representations to donor Agencies amid the Kailahun District council for assistance but to no avail.
He said the parent body NaCWAC is currently facing some funding constraints and could not readily come to their rescue.
The center, which caters for both young boys and girls, has carpentry, soap making and weaving components.
