Commissioner of the National Commission for Social Action (NaCSA), Abu Bockarie Kokofele has turned the sod to construct a community multipurpose centre at Bandama in Small Bo Chiefdom and a new market at Lago in Nongowa Chiefdom, Kenema District. The Commissioner told his audience that the Bandama checkpoint is the entering point to the city of Kenema where residents receive their dignitaries, loved ones and even the State President.
He said lack of shelters and other facilities led the community to request NaCSA to construct a community multipurpose centre that will solve the numerous problems residents encounter especially during the rainy season. Commissioner Kokofele said at Lago in Nongowa Chiefdom the community people requested for a new market, adding the two projects, totaling over Le100 million, are fully government funded as community driven projects.
The Commissioner further disclosed that NaCSA is now embarking on the implementation of 30 new projects across the country including schools, hospitals, stores and markets among others.
