The National Commission for Social Action (NaCSA) has handed over a newly constructed dry floor and grain store to the people of Baoma Oil Mill in the Kandu Leppiama Chiefdom in the Kenema District. Councilor Sengbeh Vibbi described the gesture as timely for the people of Baoma Oil Mill. He lauded the efforts of NaCSA for the development initiatives implemented in the Chiefdom. He then commended the Contractor, Mariama Jalloh for a work well done in the Chiefdom. The Kenema District Director of Agriculture Dr. Sorie Bangura disclosed that one of the priorities of government is agriculture, through which food security could be achieved. The Deputy Chairman, Kenema District Council Lusani Sheriff expressed gratitude to NaCSA, as they are reliable partners in development. He advised all in the Chiefdom to make good use of the structure and appealed to all to put aside their political indifferences and work together for the maintenance of peace and development in the Chiefdom. He also appealed to them to pay their local taxes and property rates, as this would help the Council to bring more development to the Chiefdom and the District as a whole.
On behalf of the Provincial Administration East, Jaya Samuka commended NaCSA and the Boama Oil Mill Community for their good work in implementing the project. He assured them of Government’s continued support to the people of this Country and called on the beneficiaries to use the property for the intended purpose.
The District Coordinator of NaCSA, Cecilia Sannoh, in her keynote address expressed gratitude to all present and also lauded the efforts of the project management committee and the community for their support for the project. She disclosed that NaCSA is only responsible for the construction of the structures; and the development of the buildings depends on the Community; adding that they should prepared themselves for the maintenance of the buildings. She said NaCSA is there to complement government’s effort for development in the Country.
Contributing, the Town Chief of Baoma Oil Mill, Moisia Nengei assured NaCSA and the Agriculture Ministry that they would properly maintain the building and use it for the intended purpose. The Project Management Committee Chairman, Morie Samah said they are always ready to accept government programs in their Communities at all times.
