Musician Daddy Saj Dubs Jimmy-B as his Mentor
SIERRA LEONE, Makeni: Sierra Leonean all-around performer, vocalist, philanthropist and medical service provider Joseph Gerald Adolphus Cole who is famously known by his recording name “Daddy Saj” has heaped praises on Jimmy Bangura alias “Jimmy-B” for his contribution towards his musical career, extending it to his present life.
Cole who doubles as the founder of charitable non-governmental organization “Daddy Saj Foundation” is widely known within and outside his home country Sierra Leone for standing against corruption spanning over a period of over two decades as a vocalist.
His name rings a bell when referring to the musicians that played a significant part using his musical craft to promote free speech, preach peace as well as combating dishonesty and bad politics in his nation, Sierra Leone did acknowledge that “Jimmy-B’s twenty four years long mentorship has meaningful impacted his craft and generally his entire life.
“To everyone looking at this, I proudly say that you join me to celebrate the man who changed my life: God father Jimmy Bangura (1997-2001). Thank you Boss J. You taught me well!!!” Daddy Saj wrote to his six thousand, five hundred and eighty thousand plus Facebook audience with a photo of himself and Jimmy-B shaking hands which he has also updated as his profile photo on his largely liked and followed Facebook page.
Nonetheless, Daddy Saj through his foundation is helping others, especially persons residing in some of the most deprived communities for almost a year now, his foundation has provided educational, medical and food support to over one thousand people in four communities within and across the country’s capital Freetown.
His latest wave to publicly celebrate Jimmy-B is one that comes rarely from a celebrated entertainer of his caliber, no doubt entertainers and other members of the general public have hugely complimented the vocalist for his show of self-consciousness, appreciation and humility which is worthy for many others to emulate.
