SIERRA LEONE, Freetown – MultiChoice, the South African based pay Television which includes the very popular DsTV has posted profits of $697.8 million for the period ending March 2022.
This is an increase of 0.4% over the 2021 operating profit figures. It was not all roses as its Rest Of Africa operations posted a loss of $81.3million. The home market (South Africa) accounted for 64.6% of the Company’s revenue.
The Company also said it signed new 21.8 million subscribers in the last 90 days with 9 million in South Africa and 12.8 million in the rest of Africa.
The Company blamed the Covid Lockdowns for the downturn in business, but was hopeful for the future.
