Freetown, SIERRA LEONE – Oska Kamara, the head coach of Foday Mubalie Football Academy’s U-15 team, expressed immense joy as the academy clinched its inaugural trophy. Kamara described the victory as a dream come true for the academy, marking a significant milestone in their history.
The statement came after Foday Mubalie Football Academy’s U-15 squad secured a triumphant 3-1 victory against Lions Star FC in the grand final held in Kambia. This victory not only lifted the trophy but also marked the academy’s first appearance in a grand final since its establishment seven years ago in 2017.
Adding to the accolades, the Foday Mubalie Football Academy U-15 team emerged as the inaugural champions of the KADEMM ENTERPRISE GALA Competition, showcasing their prowess in Kambia Town.
Kamara urged the CEO of Foday Mubalie Football Academy to further invest in the current squad, emphasizing the abundant potential exhibited by the players. He believes that with their exceptional performance, the team is capable of achieving more victories, elevating the academy’s stature in football within Kambia District.
Following the grand final success, the team is gearing up for the upcoming Regional U-15 and U-12 tournaments across the district, presenting a new challenge for the accomplished squad.
Foday Mubalie Kamara, the CEO, expressed his elation witnessing the team secure their maiden grand final victory. He emphasized that this triumph is just the beginning, with more laurels anticipated for the academy in the future.
Underlining the academy’s commitment to nurturing talent, Foday Mubalie Kamara disclosed that approximately fifty boys, spanning both the U-12 and U-15 categories, are currently under the academy’s care.
