The MP representing constituency 92, Mountain Rural District, Raymond Jones has told Awoko in an interview that he was challenging the Lands Minister, Dr. Dennis Sandy to produce documents of his involvement in the sale of lands. The MP was mentioned in Parliament by the Lands Minister that he was misinforming communities about the use of State Lands.
Hon. Jones told Awoko that his constituents went to him saying that they wanted to build a market at Jui and that he took them to the former Lands Minister, Benjamin Davies who allowed them to use the land for a market temporarily. Hon. Jones said The Door Christian Fellowship Church was given an offer letter for the land since 2004 but because they did not develop it, they built a market in 2007. He said he told the Door to build a market and leave the hospital as his people needed a market. “I do not sign any paper and I do not enter in to any agreement with the lands ministry and if the minister should come to Parliament and say I am involved in the sale of lands, I want him to tender that document before the house”
