21-year old Reuben Lebbie of No. 6 Bellia Park, George Brook and also of the Virtues International School was yesterday arraigned before Magistrate Komba Kamanda of Court No. 2 on two counts charge of threatening language and throwing missiles against Ms. Grace Kargbo, who happens to be his mother.
According to the police charge sheet, the accused on 23 January 2012 at No. 40 Sumaila Town in Freetown did utter threatening language against Grace Kargbo with intent to provoke her to commit breach of the peace and the second count alleges that on the same date the accused was found throwing missiles at the residence of Grace Kargbo.
The accused after the charges were read out to him, pleaded guilty and begged for mercy saying that the complainant is his mother.
They complainant was however absent in court which made it impossible for the prosecution to begin the case. The matter was adjourned to today while the accused was remanded in custody.
