The Leone Stars Captain Mohamed Kallon has again rescued the National Team by paying for 12 air tickets for the foreign based players for the teams Saturday return leg home match against Equatorial Guinea.
Kallon’s assistance came at a time when the national team was engulfed in a financial problem and when the F.A president was no where to be seen coupled with the team’s manager who is involved in the alleged cocaine scam.
Mohamed Kallon did not only buy the air tickets for the players but also agreed to pay the hotel bills for the players for their three days camping at Cape Sierra hotel.
Sport observers have said had it not been for the intervention of Kallon to salvage the plight of his colleagues, both morale and determination in the stars’ camp would have severely been affected. The team had faced a hotel lock up in the country for not paying their dues and had Kallon not intervened, the national team would definitely not have gone to camp.
This is not the first time Mohamed Kallon has rescued the National teams apart from Leone Stars. His contribution is unique when it comes to donating to his country. What Mohamed Kallon has done can only be matched by a few people in this country.
Since Mohamed Kallon started playing for the national team in most cases he buys his own ticket to play for his country and since he was appointed as captain for the national team Leone Stars he has done a lot to see the team excel.
