The Founder for the Central One Football Association (COFA) Sammah Sesay has disclosed to Awoko Sports that the mini leagues are going through constraint when it comes to sponsorship to organized competitions.
Sammah Sesay lamented that they are not having the kind of partnership they are expecting more especially from the Western Area Football Association (WAFA)
He stressed that if WAFA was encouraging mini leagues the standard of football would have developed rapidly which should have made it easier for the authority to selected players from these leagues that should be part of the youth team.
Commenting on the difference between mini and division leagues Sammah Sesay said that a lot of differences exist as these division leagues have priorities than the mini league, as in terms of players transfer, they will transfer there players to other team through negations while in the case of mini leagues they always used advantage to attract players without any benefit going to the club.
This is one aspect that has affected clubs in mini leagues, he said, but however stressed that, these mini league attracts more spectators than these division matches simple because they are more committed to the game.
