
The Republic of Sierra Leone Armed Forces (RSLAF) yesterday received military hardware from a Chinese company at Cline Town, Guoji Group.
The company was contracted in 2006 by the ministry of Defence for the supply of military uniforms, boots, berets, and other amulets worth $1,374,000.
The delivery begun yesterday at the Joint Logistics Unit at Murray Town where military personnel were seen jubilating for the arrival of new fatigues.
The acting administrative director of Guoji Group, Tina Liu explained to Awoko that the agreement was signed in 2006 with the Defence ministry to supply military uniforms.
She said their company was chosen because of its credibility, reliability, and service delivery.
Tina Liu stated that the military hardware came in four 40ft and one 20ft containers with varied sizes in George boots, John White boots, and uniforms. She emphasized that they were able to carry out the contract on time which was one of their commitments to satisfy their business partners.
Senior officers at the Joint Logistics Unit refused to comment.
