As the Premier League continued over the weekend Mighty Blackpool who started the league in a very poor form, on Sunday registered their first win in the league when they defeated Kamboi Eagles by two goals to nil (2-0).
Both goals were in the second half of play when their opponent were reduced to 10 man after their captain Mark Fish was red carded after receiving two yellow card.
Blackpool have now secured 5 points from 6 matches played so far and their next match will be against Diamond Stars of Kono at the Kodiu playing field on Friday 9th March 2012.
On Friday Kissy All Stars suffered two defeats in a row at the hands of provincial teams when they lost to Gem Stars of Tongo at the Tongo playing field in Kenema by a goal to nil (1-0) to secure 6 points.
The league will continue on Wednesday 7th March. Gem Stars will again host Freetown City FC in Tongo and on the same day at the National Stadium FC Kallon will host Central Parade.
