Mercury International, a sports promotion company, has donated the sum of 15 million leones to the Hero Football Association (HFA), at the Mercury Office at Siaka Steven Street in Freetown.
The Chairman of Mercury International, Hassan Saad described the HFA as the brain behind Salone football and further appealed to business houses to follow the foot steps of Mercury International
The Director of Sports and also member of the association Bai Kabia intimated that he his glad to be part of the Hero Football Association and as a Director of Sports he would do everything humanly possible to promote sports in the Country.
The Chairman of the Hero Football Association, Umaru Deen Sesay pointed out that they would not end with the encounter against their Nigerian counterparts; but they would also engage other countries such as Guniea, Liberia and the Gambia.
The Public Relations Officer of the Hero Football Association, Enoch Nelson said that their Nigeria counterparts would arrive tomorrow for the all important match on Sunday. The celebrations start on Saturday with about four matches lined up.
