There is going to be a massive sweep at the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) Secretariat. Only two people will retain their current jobs: Marian and Musa, the assistant administrative secretaries to Abubakarr Kabba.
According to reliable information reaching this press, others working at the Secretariat will lose their jobs, including the Secretary of the association, Alimu Bah; the administrative secretary, Abubakarr Kabba; the finance office and a host of others.
According to sources, even security personnel working at the secretariat will lose their jobs.
One of the strong members of President Nahim Kadi’s campaign team, former referee Nasiru Deen Othman, will take over the security of the football academy very soon. Othman is currently a security officer at the secretariat.
According to the information, President Kadi decided on the sudden dismissals because some of these people were a serious problem to his administration over his last four years in office, and he does not want to encounter such a difficult task this time around.
That is why some of his members who supported him during the past election are strongly behind this particular decision.
The president sees this as a way to reward his backers for the support they gave to him during the elective congress, which he won for the second consecutive time.
According to information, the executive is also trying to bring the Director of Sports Saidu Mansaray, and Rodney Michael, to the SLFA premier board.
Also sources say that Dr Bangura, who lost to President Nahim Kadi, has written a letter to nominate two members in each of the 15 committees. Some members of the football family have welcomed the idea, while some have a different opinion about that.
