Brima Mansaray, who won last year’s Celtel golf tourney, has emerged victorious at this year’s annual Celtel golf tourney with a score of 276.
Over the four days played, he amassed a total score of 69-69-68-70. Jerry Dumbuya with the score of 280 points trailed him after he had scored 69-69-68-74 over the four days the professional played . Third place Paul Kargbo got 291 points after scoring 72-71-73-75.In the amateur category clinching the men’s prize was Karim Kange with a net score of 68. John Camp came second with a net score of 70 and Rob Franks was third with a net of 71.
Agnes Gotosa won the ladies category while Isabel Boutet and Luba Johnson were second and third respectively. And the overall best gross went to James S Koroma.
In the senior Caddies for men Abu Kanu was top with a gross score of 74 followed in second position place by Idrissa Farnel with a score of 75 and Francis Davies came third with 76.
In the Junior Caddies for men it was a win for Mustapha Kamara with a net of 76 with Abioseh Williams in second position with a net of 78 and John Koroma in third position with a net of 79.
The longest drive for women was a win for Fransca De Ferrari while the nearest to pin for the ladies was won by Anne Koroma.
The longest drive for men was won by Nev Nixon and the nearest to pin for men was a win for Idrissa Abdul Klahab. The Bobby Prize was a win for Ian Buchanan with a score of 133 and net 105.
Hole in-one-number 13 went to Osman Kanu and the competition attracted about 14 professionals,35 Amateur ,28 Junior Caddies and 21 Senior Caddies.
The sales director of Celtel Keith Tukei in his welcome address said it was good to see their customers coming on board to witness the golf tourney.
While the cooperate manager Probyn Browne in his statement said if there was no client there would have been no cooperation department “and many of us would have not been working by now,” and appealed to their clients to use their brand as they were the best company in the country.
The winner Brima Mansaray said the Celtel’s golf tourney had been the best in terms of organizing.
