27 year old David Adu, alias Daddy, of 17 Duawoh Street has been committed to the Kenema High Court on his last appearance in Magistrate Court 2 before Presiding Magistrate Joseph Tobi on one count charge of sexual penetration of a child contrary to Section 19 of the Sexual offences Act no. 9 of 2012 as amended by Section 4 (II) of the Sexual Offences Act no 8 of 2019.
Police alleged that Daddy, sometime in May 2020 at 17 Duawoh Street, engaged in an act of sexual penetration with a girl under the age of 18, to wit, 13 years. Police Constable 15361 Vonja Thomas from the Legal Justice and Support Department of the Kenema Police Division prosecuted the matter.
The accused was granted Le50 million bail with two sureties showing proof of ID who are residents of the court’s jurisdiction, to be approved by the court.
