Thirty year-old Abu Bakarr Morie Foray, a Plumber of Monjama Section in Bo City Southern Sierra Leone, has made his last appearance before Presiding Magistrate Tonia M’bawa at the Magistrate Court, along Reservation Road in Kenema.
According to the particulars of offence the accused person Abu Bakarr Morie Foray on Sunday 19th October 2008, at Niawa Road in the Small Bo Chiefdom Kenema District, was found in possession of one water pump reasonably suspected to have been stolen from some where else. He was arrested and handed over to the Police.
He was then charged with the offence of unlawful possession contrary to section 138 of Cap 37, as amended by section 5 of Act no. 6 of 1981. The accused then pleaded guilty to the offence and was sentenced to 18 months imprisonment.
In the same Court one Moses Pratt, who happens to be a Honda Mechanic of 28 Dakiya Street in Kenema City, also appeared before the Presiding Magistrate on the charge of simple larceny contrary to section 12 of cap 37, as amended by section 4 Act no. 6 of 1981. According to the Prosecutor the accused person on Thursday 30th October 2008 at no. 28 Dakiya Street in Kenema did stole one packet of cotton lappa valued at Le50.000; suit wax cotton valued at Le90.000; 7 yards lace cotton valued at Le50.000 and the sum of Le30.000, all to the total value of Le220.000 property of Ibrahim Quee.
The accused then pleaded guilty to the charge and was sentenced to 6 months imprisonment.
