Alie Kabineh Koroma of 5 Bendu Road in Daru Town Kailahun district has been committed to High Court for trial by the Ag. Principal Magistrate Mohamed Alhaji Momoh-Jah Stevens who takes care of Kenema, Tongo, Daru and Kailahun town in the eastern region.
According to the prosecutor Sgt. 1986 Massaquoi M.K of the
Legal Justice and support department of the Kenema Police Division, the accused on Wednesday, 28th December 2011, at Wanjama village in the Small-Bo Chiefdom, Kenema District, stole from Christiandelpia Mission Bible Church one wall clock valued fifty thousand Leones (Le50,000), one Holy Bible valued forty thousand Leones (Le40,000) all to the total value of ninety thousand Leones (Le90,000.00) property of the said Church.
The accused was charged to court for committing an offence of sacrilege contrary to section 24 of larceny Act of 1916.
The matter was committed to High Court for trial.
In the same court on the same day another accused person Joseph Kennie of 7 HangAAha Road in Kenema city made similar appearance before the Presiding Magistrate for robbery with violence contrary to section 23 (1) (b) of the larceny Act of 1916 as repealed and replaced by section 2 of Act No. 16 of 1971.
No plea was taken and the accused was committed to High Court for trial.
