Management of Luawa FC has unveiled both their Under Fifteen Football Team, and their new club Jersey.
The unveiling ceremony was held at the Approved Correctional Complex in the eastern part of the city on Saturday 10th July.
The event brought together members of the football family, the parents of the players and other dignitaries.
Guest speaker at the ceremony Leone Stars Head Coach John Keister expressed his satisfaction, while praising the founder of Luawa FC, with such a laudable project.
While emphasizing that grassroots football development should be the key focus to modern day football development, Keister encouraged the players to stay in school while they are playing football.
“Coach please don’t encourage players who do not go school to be part of the team, the only way by which a player can make it in his career is when he is disciplined and focused on his career and education,” he concluded.
Delivering the keynote address, founder of Luawa FC, Emmanuel Saffa Abudulai Esq thanked the Head Coach for the U15, Mohamed Sow for bringing all the players together from various communities.
Saffa Abudulai Esq expressed joy that football is his passion and so as his own way to help promote youth development in the country, he is investing in football without any expectations.
He sternly advised the players to stay away from bad habits that will destroy their potentials.
Mabinty Kamara, one of the parents who were present during the unveiling ceremony, stated that she was against her son playing football but because of how the various speakers stressed on the essence of education and discipline she is willing for her son to play football.
