In a meeting that was held last Thursday at the NOC headquarters was comprises of members of the National Olympic Committee (NOC) and the National Sports Council. The reason for the meeting was to form new International Games Local Organizing Committee (IGLOC).
The committee is comprises of six members with Dr Patrick Coker has chairman,A.G Koroma,Victor H Spaine, Alphan S Coker, Augusta James Teima and Unisa D Kargbo
Also during the meeting they also discussed about the Youth Olympic Games 2010 in Singapore and the disciplines that the country are expected to be represented by athletes and the qualification system for the games.
The administrative secretary of the National Olympic Committee A G Koroma said that with such a meeting there are signs that both the National Olympic Committee and Sports Council want to rebrand the sports colour of Sierra Leone.
He also stated that the chairman of the committee Dr Patrick Coker is of the conviction that with such meetings they will be able to solve some of the problems affecting the sporting disciplines in the country.
