The national team Leone Stars yesterday went to camp at the Mahera hotel in Lungi with 20 home based players and about 6 professional players.
The other professional players who have been invited will be arriving in the coming days for the all important encounter.
The team was expected in camp since May 8 but because of financial constraints the team was unable to go to camp on the specific time frame.
The team finally went to camp after the Vice President Sam Sumana launched the Leone Stars fund campaign at the State house last Friday. The team is expected to depart the shores of Sierra Leone for their first encounter with Equatorial Guinea on June 1 and the administrative secretary Abubakarr Kabba will depart this Thursday for Equatorial Guinea through Ghana to make the necessary arrangements for the team’s arrival.
