LEAD to be launched today to train leaders

The Leadership, Empowerment and Development (LEAD) Organization that wants to be a catalyst in the development of leaders of excellence will be officially launched today at the Light House Hotel Lumley in Freetown to promote spiritual and mental excellence to become agents of change in their areas of responsibility.
The organization will look out for resourceful effective creative informed strong and dynamic leaders in all areas of society whose lives exemplify moral character and integrity in the pursuit of excellence. LEAD is also committed to developing and promoting leadership that selflessly serves others by meeting their needs holistically so as to transform lives for the development of the country and the benefit of all.
Michael M Turay Coordinator of LEAD Sierra Leone in a release said they plan to develop mentor and coach student leaders in elementary, secondary and tertiary institution in leadership principles, life skills and character formation and also assist organizations, businesses, churches and other entities in the development and practice of good effective boatmanship.
He also noted that the organization will provide consultancy services to business organizations in the area of strategic planning, management and leadership development, and further provides management audit and accountability with cultural business practice which will help in the development of the country.
The coordinator hopes that the organization and leaders of excellence will make good use of their technical expertise for an effective and accountable running of institutions to promote a development agenda that will benefit the people and the country at large.
