Scores of artists from the east and west end of Freetown will lock horns on Easter Monday at the National Stadium in a microphone battle for a Le 50m star prize, pegged by the Top Best Squad (TBS).
The president of TBS, Aruna G. Kamara aka ‘Bush’ said, “we have put mechanisms in place to ensure that the show is successful.”
Speaking about sponsors of the contest, ‘Bush’ disclosed that, “the show will be sponsored by Comium, the Freetown Cold Storage and Sierra Leone Brewery Limited.”
Bush noted that the prerequisite to partake in the contest was that artists should have produced new albums within the January 2007 and April 2008 period.
He accentuated that other artists who had not met the precondition would however perform as guest artists.
It has been confirmed that renowned artists like K-Man, Alonso, Star Zero, M2, FBI, Extra O, Sierra Leone’s hottest female artist, DJ Lulu, and the biggest musical group currently in the country, ‘Dry Yai Crew – comprising Jungle Leaders, Pupa Bajah and Baw waw Society, will mint and spice this historic event.
