At its weekly lottery draw broadcast live from the Sierra Leone Broadcasting Service, studios over the weekend, Tigo mobile network doled out Le3million to three subscribers who were lucky to be the Tigo lottery winners. In his statement before the commencement of the draw, Tigo’s media coordinator Jariatu Bah explained that the draw will go on for three months, noting that “during this month, every weekend three lucky subscribers who qualify for the draw will win a million Leones each,” she said. Ms Bah explained that in order to qualify for the draw Tigo subscribers must text ‘lotto’ or ‘l’ to 808, adding “the more text you send the greater your chance of winning is,” she disclosed. She appealed to subscribers to ensure that their phones are always on, noting that “if your phone number is selected by the computer, after dialing your number three times with no response, we will cancel you out and continue with the draw to find another winner. To every game there are rules and this is the rule of this game,” the media coordinator said.
