The Minister of Trade and Industry Alimamy Petito Koroma has disclosed that he has received eight hundred and eighty million Leones (Le880, 000,000) from Milestone Trading Limited.
He said that the money was given for the erection of markets in Freetown for traders, adding that the government is committed to build these markets.
Mr Koroma maintained that, if government wants to build a multi purpose market the money given will not be enough, but that they will look at market areas which need more attention.
He stated that government is finding ways to attract other companies for more support to provide adequate market for traders.
The Trade Minister pointed out that, his Ministry will go into consultation with the Freetown City Council (FCC), traders and other stakeholders to determine where markets will be located.
