Popular Freetown Barrister and politician Hon. Osho Williams has passed away at the Choitram’s Hospital Hill Station in Freetown after a brief ailment.
The cause of his death is unknown, but most people have attributed his sudden death to overweight or obesity.
Lawyer Osho Williams, whose death came as a shock to many yesterday, was up to his demise APC Member of Parliament representing one of the constituencies in central Freetown, where was reputed to have rendered selfless services to his people.
Osho who was serving his third term in Parliament under the new democratic dispensation was first nominated to Parliament under ‘Proportional representation’ immediately after the 1996 Presidential and Parliamentary elections which brought the SLPP to power.
He was re-nominated in 2002 under the ‘district block’ system and was finally elected last year under constituency election which brought APC to power.
Osho would be remembered for representing the down to earth in society and he last seen jubilating his victory with his supporters at the Kissy Road market in Freetown.
His shock death has been described by many youth as a devastating as he would always rise up to their defense in time of need. A large crowd of mourns flock his Sorie Town residence on the breaking of the news, while an APC stalwart dubbed his death as “a big loss to the party”.
