LAWYER Clinches SLPP SYMBOL

A lawyer and SLPP aspirant vying for the Kailahun District council Chairmanship has commended supporters and party stalwarts for their support which enabled him to bag the party symbol amidst delay in announcing result after the primaries. Lawyer Alex Bhonapha recorded 59.96% ahead of Navo Kaikai who secured 27.7%, Sahr Lamin 12%, Nelson Lahai 0.04% and Sahr Bainga 0.00% thus qualifying him to contest as the SLPP candidate for the Kailahun district council chairmanship position in the November 17th local council elections. He says the contest was a friendly process aimed at recognizing the popularity of all candidates in the Kailahun district. He called on his opponents to work together for the betterment of the party, the district and the country in particular. The SLPP lawyer aspirant promised transforming Kailahun district in to a modern district through his lobbying skills with development partners and the central government and called on all to remain peaceful and vote in retired brigadier Julius Maada Bio in the November 17th presidential elections. He appealed to friends and relatives in other parties to come over to the SLPP party as it is the only way out.
