One of Sierra Leone’s vibrant sports journalists in the country Lansana Claye of Kallone radio has won the best sports journalist award for 2008 from the Krootown Amateur Football Association (KAFA).
After the final match played on Friday the organizer presented Lansana claye with a certificate and Gold medal
Speaking to Lansana claye after receiving the award he said he feels proud to win such an award out of many active sports journalists in the country.
He also mentioned that he was able to win the award because of his hard work as he has been doing over the past years and he has made a lot of sacrifice to give a correct report to the people of Sierra Leone.
He said that this award has been a stepping stone for him and he is going to do more so that he will be able to win another such award in the future.
