The much talked about Ladies Captain Golf prize ended successfully over the weekend at the Freetown golf club beach road Lumley.
The competition which started on the 17th February in the professional category and the amateur category ended on the 21st February with a prize giving ceremony to the various winners.
The ladies captain of the Freetown Golf Club, Luba Johnson who happens to be the organizer thanked all sponsors for their contributions in promoting the tournament.
In the professional category, Jerry Dumbuya came first with three under par, defeating his arch rivals Brima Mansaray and Robert Williams with two under par, and over respectively.
In the men’s amateur category, the best gross was won by Nicholas Luyckx and nearest to the pin was won by William Clarkson, Eric Djibo the dynamic captain of the Freetown Golf Club won the longest Drive, and Piere Toigo was the winner of the bubby prize.
In the ladies category, Agnes Gotosa won the best gross, Best net was won by Fatimah Mullah, nearest to the pin was clinched by Beatrice Chaytor, Longest Drive was won by the impressive and outstanding May Andari and the bubby prize was won by Maria Cruickshank.
The Marshall of the tournament, Sheku T Bangura after the competition said he was impressed with the performance of the Golfers in the professional and amateur Categories and appealed to them for consistency.
