Members of the Koyagbema Youths in Action for Development (KoYAD) have embarked on the construction of the main Koyagbema road to the Kenema city. Koyagbema is one of the communities that make up of Kenema city.
In an interview with Awoko at the work site, the coordinator of the Koyagbema Youths in Action for Development and also area Chief of Koyagbema Community, Chief Bockarie Gbao disclosed that the Koyagbema road project includes the widening of the road from 10ft to 40ft, drainage construction and the removal of stumps among others. Chief Bockarie Gbao called on the Mayor and Councilors of the Kenema City Council for support in terms of working tools, food for work and the construction of the market for the Koyagbema community.
He then called on the Sierra Leone Roads Authority (SLRA) to immediately come to their aid in offering technical support for the road construction project. He also appealed for the construction of a market, safe drinking water, electricity and a community hall for their locality and assured all that there are enough resources available for development projects in the Koyagbema community.
