The Youth for Action and Development at Kordebotihun section in the Kenema city has embarked on road maintenance exercise to make their area motorable to bike riders and accessible to the general public.
Speaking to the press the chairman of the Association Charles Ishmael disclosed to the press that the association was formed in 2004 with the aim of bringing development to their community.
He said since the inception of the organization few years ago they have embarked on a series of developmental activities within Kenema city and Kordebotihun section in particular. He also stated that the road leading to the Kordebotihun community was so deplorable that it needed government support to work on the road.
This he said prompted the voluntary involvement into the maintenance of the road and streets within the Kordebotihun community.
He expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Caritas Director Patrick Jamiru for his single contribution to the Association and called on other stakeholders in the community to emulate his good example.
While calling on the Kenema City Council for assistance in the provision of tools and other logistic and assured the community of their readiness to develop other areas within the township.
