Youths in Kenema have embarked on the rehabilitation of the main Hangha Road between IDA and Tissor village on the Kenema -Tongo highway.
Speaking to Awoko at the work site the coordinator of Youth in Development, Ibrahim Jabbie, said “the World Food Programme (WFP) is funding the project”. He noted that, “the purpose of forming the Youths in Development organization for the youth in Kenema is to engage the youths in positive activities geared towards development in the community”.
Mr Jabbie called on the Sierra Leone Roads Authority (SLRA), the Kenema City Council (KCC) and other humanitarian organizations for support to enhance the speedy completion of the said rehabilitation project.
He appealed to other youths in other areas to emulate their example, saying that gone were those days when politicians misused the youth for their own personal achievements.
