FC Kallon on Wednesday at the National Stadium defeated East End Lions 3-1 to go top in the ongoing Premier League. The defeat did not go down well with some officials of East End Lions as well as the supporters as they went on the rampage abusing and attacking the officials who handled the match. The attitude of Lions officials was not good for the game if the game is to develop.
During the match Salifu Samura put FC Kallon into the lead after converting a penalty when Teteh Bangura was brought down in the box. They further extended their lead early in the second half.
After the second goal East End Lions Player Kai Gborie was red carded and the defending champions down to ten men conceded another goal from Teteh Bangura to go three nil up.
In the dying minutes, East End Lions was awarded a consolation penalty which was converted by Sidike Mansaray to reduce the scored line.
This win has given FC Kallon added advantage in the race of the title with 39 points.
Also in Magburaka, Freetown City FC defeated Golden Dragons by a lone goal that have given them 21 points from 17 matches.
The league will continue today with Central Parade hosting Old Edwardians. Speaking to Awoko, Old Edwardians coach Amidu Koroma said that they are going for a revenge as in the first leg they lost by two goals to nil and this time round they cannot afford to lose both matches.
Media officer of Central Parade Kemoh Sesay said as a team they are well prepared to secure all the three vital points which will put them in a better position in the league.
