Freetown, SIERRA LEONE – Two of Africa’s best in Rap are about to perform on the same stage and at the same time in Sierra Leone. Renowned Kenyan Hip Hop Rapper Kaligraph Jones has arrived in Sierra Leone to perform alongside his once lyrical nemesis Kao Denero at the All Face Value concert, which is slated to take place tomorrow Saturday 7th January 2023 at Tokeh Beach.
Papa Jones being booked to perform at Kao’s event seems like a truce, after a cyberspace beef that led to all-out lyrical warfare.
Both rappers have claimed to be the best in Africa which sparked up a lyrical war over the hip-hop throne. Tomorrow would be the moment of truth as both artists’ lyrical delivery and stage act would be presented to the court of public opinion cheered by jurors of fans.
Rapper Brian Ouko Omollo, also known as Khaligraph Jones or Papa Jones, is well known for his hit tracks “Mazishi” and “Yego.” In June 2018, he made available his first studio album, Testimony 1990.
Jones grew up in the Nairobi, Kenya, neighborhood of Kayole.
The rapper was named by his mother in honour of the late Kenyan politician Robert Ouko, who was slain on 13th February 1990. OG/6/1/2023
