Report from Kailahun district states that Police in the divisional headquarter town of Kailahun are currently investigating the theft of 75 bales of mosquito nets from the government hospital in Kailahun town.
According to Police sources the theft from the Under Five Clinic of the hospital was reported to the police in Kailahun by the District Heath Management Team (DHMT) in Kailahun. Reports also stated that the security guard and other workers who were on duty at the hospital on the day of the alleged theft were invited by the Police to make statements but no formal arrest have so far been made concerning the theft.
The source further stated that many people in Kailahun town have alleged that the theft of the treated mosquito nets was an organized syndicate by some members of the hospital staff and some unpatriotic business people that trade between Sierra Leone and Guinea.
