The crimes officer East, Samuel Sanu Sesay has asked all those who committed crimes during the recent political fracas between the SLPP and PMDC in Kailahun to report at the police station.
He said, “the police has the power to arrest under the1965 Public Order Act as long as it is in the best interest of national security, safety and public order”.
Mr Sanu Sesay threatened that anyone who failed to report at the police station would be arrested under the six powers of arrest without warrant. He warned political party supporters to abide by the electoral laws as anyone caught disrupting the ongoing electioneering process would be brought to book.
The regional crimes officer refuted allegations of bias levied against the Local Unit Commander (LUC) in Kailahun Karifa Keitta.
Recently, PMDC and SLPP supporters accused LUC Karifa Keitta of bias because he refused to make any arrests during and after the fracas between them.
