Members and supporters of the People’s Movement for Democratic Change (PMDC) in the Kaffu Bullom and Lokomasama chiefdoms have welcomed the decision of their leader, Charles Margai, to form an alliance with the All People’s Congress (APC) for the presidential run-off.
Many Sierra Leoneans see the PMDC’s move as a patriotic and nationalistic one to mend the regional and tribal differences in the country.
According to Sulaiman Kamara, the PMDC’s chairman in that chiefdom, “it is a move in the right direction which could not come at a better time.”
He said a meeting of his executive had already been held to strategize ways to sensitize PMDC supporters about the need to accept their leader’s decision.
Sulaiman thanked their leader for this brave political move, and pledged Kaffu Bullom’s continued support for their leader.
