Both Judo and Taekwondo Associations in Sierra Leone, have now gained recognition from the international bodies for both sports.
Taekwondo Association President Onness Johnson told Awoko Sports that this latest ‘achievement’ had been his aim since both organizations came into existence.
“With such recognition, we are now ready to work very hard to make sure we develop and promote the sports locally and internationally,” he said.
He also added that on getting the news, a meeting was called where some important issues were discussed as a way forward.
It can be recalled that for the past three years, the Taekwondo and Judo associations have experienced serious in-fighting resulting in them having parallel executives, until the disputes were settled by the NOC-SL some few months back.
