Attitudinal Change Coordinator and also National Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Movement for Democratic Change (PMDC) Mohamed Bangura has said on Tuesday that the Judiciary is completely hopeless.
He told reporters at the usual Police press conference that the Sierra Leone Police is doing their job, but the judiciary is not.
Bangura was talking about the attack on him by armed men at his resident where he was nearly killed. However, he stated that had it not been for the swift intervention of the Police he would have been a dead man.
The coordinator noted that Police arrested four who were charged to court, but he was surprised to see these culprits out from Prison going around threatening witnesses in his case. Bangura further questioned the work done by the judiciary and therefore recommended that a rigorous system be put in place. Also, at the conference, Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Samuel Kargbo explaining about the recent fracas between the ruling APC and SLPP said that, already, they have arrested one Foday Mansaray who was alleged to have led people to attack the SLPP office.
He stated that 22 were arrested at the SLPP and nine arrested with looted properties.
Asked whether arms and ammunitions were found at the SLPP office, he replied No!
However, AIG Chris Charley in charge of the Western Area assured the public that the matter will be investigated thoroughly and also they (Police) will investigate “Leather Boot.”
