Justice Mary Sey, yesterday at the Freetown High Court No2, rejected a medical letter issued by Dr Coker who is the medical doctor for the prisons department on behalf of Omrie Golley and David Kai Tongi.
The two are facing treason charges.
Addressing the court as to why she rejected the medical report of the first and third accused, she said the letter sent to her was insufficient and unaccepted.
She added that, “I am not going to accept the letter because it does not state what type of illness the accused persons are suffering from and how long they would be recovering from it”.
She advised the prisons officer, who presented the letter to the court, that “the doctor needs to issue proper letter not this flimsy one”.
Counsels representing the accused were absent in court so the matter was adjourned for today.
