Makeni, SIERRA LEONE – Two of Sierra Leone’s most cherished Comedians Yemata and Orga Worwor who are also famous for roasting others with their jokes, on Thursday opened a Pandora box after the former took to his Facebook page to joke over the latter.
In his post, Comedian Orga Worwor visibly fired at Yemata who’s believed to have missed out from this year’s graduation as one of the prospective graduates reading Law expected to have graduated. “Another set of LAWYER’s don graduate but we nor see Yemata egain, this make 8 years way e still day law school. Abi na d PORTLOKO branch e day do law,” Orga’s post read.
In less than 24 hours, the said post in which Orga Worwor had tagged Yemata had been liked by some 1,600 Facebook users with over 300 comments including comments by Musician Drizilik and Jay Rim, as well as Yemata who fired back on the said post saying: “When a son want to talk to the father and he want to use public attention to gain fame or popularity…Upgrade to my level then we can talk.”
Yeamata’s replied on the said post gave birth to bitter exchanges of punches being thrown at each other, but the tension heightened after Orga Worwor authored another post three hours later humorously this time posted a photo of their fellow Comedian Richie Obama with the words: “Congratulations Richie Obama, you nor go Law school but you graduate. You betteh pas Yemata way don take 8yrs en half na law school nor comot yet, smiling.
With Orga Worwor’s second shot still joking at Yemata’s seemingly failure to being called to the bar like his other colleagues, Comedian Yemata could not hold it this time but took to his own Facebook page to fire back at Orga Worwor whose situation at the Institute of Public Administration-(IPAM) is similar to Yemata’s at the Fourah Bay College – (FBC) as was visibly stated on Yemata’s post which reads: “ A son to me in the standup comedy industry is calling for my attention.. Go clear u reference na Ipam en kam tok to me later…”
Like Orga Worwor, Yemata did not hold back but made successive posts throwing shades at Orga Worwor whom he refers to as his son, but has the nation’s comedians has it to be the most peaceful sector in the industry, Yemata had to use his same space to apologize to his fans and five house later posted a screen shot image of his conversation with Orga Worwor apologizing to him saying: Boss man sorry sir… na hype no more bo,” and Yemata did not hold back but responded to Orga’s apology with another funny punch that: he should go joke with his dad next time.” ARW/4/12/2022
