The 52-year-old Italian coach, Roberto Landi a qualify UEFA ‘A’ license coach, has shown interest in coaching Leone Stars in preparation for the 2010 World and Nation Cup tournaments.
Coach Roberto is a well qualified soccer coach with 17 years’ experience and 16 years as a professional footballer. Following a successful playing career in Italy and the USA, he moved into coaching and management in 1998.
He started in the Italian league before moving to the USA as training coach to the USA national team preparing it for Italy 1990 and USA 1994.
Roberto also spent three successful seasons with Marigian national U-21 team in 1998, taking them to the European Championships in 2000.
In 2001, he was appointed Lithuanian head coach and thereafter moved to Italy series A as head coach of Messina FC in 2002-2003.
In 2004, he took charge of Romania FC national and in that season the club finished third position in the premiership and for personal reasons he resigned his post in September following a good start to the 2005-2006 season.
