The Israeli Ambassador accredited to Sierra Leone, based in Senegal, Gideon Behar has highlighted his country’s plan to help Sierra Leone in terms of education, agriculture and also strengthen his country’s bilateral relationship with Sierra Leone.
Ambassador Behar further highlighted some of the goodies Israel has done for Sierra Leone including the building of the House of Parliament and Post Office among others.
Behar told Journalists on Friday that Sierra Leone is a country that Israel has invested so much in. Already, he said, he has met with the Minister of Agriculture, Foreign Affairs and Education Youth and Sports to share his country’s ideas and experiences with them.
He also spoke of how his country has settled disputes with some of their neighboring countries like Jordan, adding that now their aim is to have peace with the Palestinians.
Behar stressed that, “our war against Hamas is not a war against the Palestinians but Hamas.” He further highlighted some of the benefits Palestinians are getting from Israel.
Earlier on, in his remarks Past Coordinator and President of the Sierra Leone Israel Friendship society, Sirajin Rollings Kamara told of how some Sierra Leoneans have benefited from Israel.
Kamara also stated that this organization has a membership of 5,000 countrywide and further committed his organizations total support to Israel in whatever situation they are.
The Ambassador has on Thursday presented his credentials to President Koroma at State House.
