Isha Johansen is a household name in Sierra Leone football due to the passion she has for the game. To demonstrate this passion once again, she has made a dying minute intervention to rescue the National U-17 Female Team, the Sierra Starlets by providing 25 air tickets for the team’s contingent to Banjul, The Gambia.
The Starlets are due in The Gambia to honour their first leg preliminary rounds with their Gambian counterparts in the Female U-17 World Cup campaign to be played on Saturday, 20th January 2012.
According to information reaching this press, the team is expected to leave for The Gambia today, 18th January 2012.
The delegation comprising 18 players and 7officials will include; Cecilia Bangura, Jariatu Kamara, Hannah Conteh(captain)Haja Kamara, Margaret Sesay, Sarah Bangura, Fatmata Turay, Fatmata Mansaray, Kaju Max Macauley, Aminata Lebbie, Zainba Sesay, Alice Bundor, Adama Sesay, Rashidatu Kamara, Isata Kamara, Wuyian Muahid ,Nansu Bundor and Hassanatu Jalloh, while the officials include; Morrison Sannoh leader of delegation Hannah Williams, head coach Prince Tamba Moses, assistant coach Fornie Conteh, Welfare Officer Alieu Bockarie, Media Officer Salamatu Bangura, team Doctor Emerica Jones Browne from SLFA.
